Hypertension grades: ESC 2024 and ACC/AHA 2025

Classifies blood pressure by the 2024 ESC categories (non-elevated < 120/70, elevated 120–139/70–89, hypertension ≥ 140/90 mmHg, with the home and ambulatory equivalents), the ESC 2018 / ESH 2023 grades (optimal, normal, high-normal, grades 1–3, isolated systolic or diastolic hypertension) and the ACC/AHA 2025 stages (normal, elevated, stage 1, stage 2, severe > 180/120). Treatment from both guidelines is shown side by side: when to start drugs for elevated BP or stage 1 by risk (SCORE2 ≥ 10% or PREVENT ≥ 7.5%, CVD, diabetes, CKD, organ damage), single-pill combination therapy and BP targets.
