AusCVD Risk (Australia)
Applies the 2023 Australian guideline to the 5-year risk from the Aus CVD Risk Calculator: clinically determined high risk (eGFR < 45, raised uACR, familial hypercholesterolaemia), the < 5%, 5 to < 10% and ≥ 10% categories, reclassification for ethnicity, family history, CKD, severe mental illness and CAC, and BP-lowering and lipid-modifying treatment with reassessment intervals.
The AUS-PREDICT coefficients are not published, so the risk cannot be reproduced here. Calculate it with the official Aus CVD Risk Calculator (age, sex, smoking, SBP, TC/HDL, diabetes, AF, BP- and lipid-lowering medicines, postcode deprivation; HbA1c, eGFR, uACR, BMI and diabetes duration in diabetes), then enter it here for the category, reclassification and management.
CAC is not for population screening or when risk is already high; eGFR 45–59 or a raised uACR is read from the kidney fields above.
