LDL-C targets
Sets the LDL-C goal from the patient's conditions. ESC: very high risk (established ASCVD including PCI, CABG, stroke, TIA and PAD, significant plaque on imaging, diabetes with target-organ damage, type 1 diabetes for more than 20 years, severe CKD, FH with another risk factor) < 55 mg/dL and ≥ 50% reduction, < 40 mg/dL after a second event within 2 years; high risk < 70 mg/dL; moderate < 100 mg/dL; low < 116 mg/dL. ACC/AHA 2026: very-high-risk ASCVD (≥ 2 major events, or one with ≥ 2 high-risk features) and ASCVD with CKD < 55 mg/dL, other ASCVD < 70 mg/dL (optional < 55), and primary-prevention goals by LDL-C ≥ 190, diabetes, CAC and PREVENT risk. Shows the reduction still needed from the current LDL-C and a side-by-side table of every group.
