Decision guide

D-dimer (age-adjusted cut-off: age × 10 µg/L if > 50 y). Negative → PE excluded. Positive → CTPA. Consider PERC if gestalt very low. PEGeD (three-level Wells) raises the cut-off to 1000 µg/L for Wells 0–4.
